From 1990 to 1998, he studied piano at the Conservatory of Caldas da Rainha, Portugal. In 1998 he joined the Musicology Course of the Universidade Nova of Lisbon. In 2001 he was part of the first Jazz Course at Performing Arts High School of Porto (ESMAE), having completed a degree in jazz piano in 2005. Simultaneously, he was a jazz piano, harmony and orchestra class teacher at the Conservatory of Caldas da Rainha and Jazz School of Torres Vedras. He directed various music workshops throughout the country in collaboration with conductor Adelino Mota and was professor of group and jazz harmony at the Youth Summer Music School at Caldas da Rainha. From 2007 to 2008 he studied in Paris with the renowned composer and pianist Antoine Hervé.

In 2010 he becomes the managing director of the Conservatory of Caldas da Rainha, and producer / artistic director of Musicaldas Festival.
In 2012 he concluded a course of "Cultural Organizations and Project Management".
In 2014 he concludes with full marks the Specialist Orchestration for Film and TV Course at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Currently, in addition to the direction of the Conservatory of Caldas da Rainha, is a musician, teacher and composer / orchestrator and have been working on the area of classical music, jazz and pop / rock, as well as the composition of some short films and advertising music.
