Ben Frampton is a Leeds based musician and the drummer for No Redemption. Starting drums at the age of 10, he quickly realised that this is where his passion lies in music. After years of studying the drumming of drummers like Josh Dun of Twenty One Pilots, some of his first ideas of drumming weren't the typical things that drummers looking at anything else would pick up. At age 11, he began studying drums at Music Lab were he was taught by João Figueiredo.
When he got to High School, he became friends with Louie Appleyard (guitarist/ lead singer) and Ashudeep Saggu (Bassist) and together they formed the band No Redemption.
It wasn't long until he was discovered by Billy Memphis (guitarist/ lead singer), who had asked him to become a part of his future band - The North. His drumming can be heard on their first single "Changin' People" which was their first single hitting over an astonishing 10, 000 listens on Spotify. During his time with The North, he performed with the one of the only Leeds Junior Conservatoire bands to be picked to play at the First Direct Arena. However, at the beginning of 2024 he was asked to leave due to being in No Redemption. Memphis accused him of being not committed enough and he never played with them again.
After gaining a lot of live performance and recording experience, Frampton went on to focus more on No Redemption. He has gone from playing in Pop- Rock bands to Indie and Shoegaze bands all within the space of working with No Redemption. For his college personal project, he did a drum cover of the entire Loopified album (See down below). His influences range from Jeff Porcaro and Simon Philips of Toto to Bernard Purdie, John Bonham of Led Zeppelin and Stewart Copeland from The Police. From beginning drums at the age of 10, he is known for his tricky, well thought out grooves and busy, yet tasty drum fills along with his unique technique which allows him to stay relaxed while playing.
