Bruno Scantamburlo is a Brazilian-Italian guitarist, cavaquinist and mandolinist. He has lived in Florence, Italy, since November 2014. Graduated in music from the Brazilian Conservatory of Music in Rio de Janeiro, where he also worked as a lecturer; Bruno Scantamburlo played with various groups and accompanied many singers in his 10-year career as a professional musician in Brazil. He has worked as a musician, sound engineer and producer in concerts and recordings with Toquinho, MPB4, Duofel, Erasmo Carlos, Leandro Braga, Helio Delmiro, Toninho Horta and many other Brazilian artists. In Italy he played at many festivals like Borgo Incantato (Gerace-Calabria 2015), the Brazilian Festival of Bologna (2015, 2016 and 2018), the Pop Cult Festival (Bagnara di Romagna-Emilia Romagna 2016) and in the renowned jazz club BFlat in Cagliari - Sardinia. He played with Brazilian artists Fabio Allman (Monobloco) and Neguinho da Beija Flor in their Italian tours. He held workshops and masterclasses on Brazilian music and Brazilian guitars in collaboration with the Terra Brasilis association in Bagnara di Romagna (RA). He took care of the arrangements of the CD “Italia, America e ritorno” by Lorenzo Adreaggi where all songs are chosen by Narciso Parigi, artistic director of the album. It was Narciso’s last album. The album features the participation of Irene Grande, Stefano Bollani, Finaz, Nuto and Bachi from Bandabardò and is produced by Sergio Salaorni.

Cavaquinist, singer and founder of the Roda de Samba do Careca since December 2018 in Bologna. In 2021 the Bruno Scantamburlo Trio makes its debut concert in the “Un Paese a Sei Corde” festival on Lake Maggiore in Feriolo (a hamlet of Baveno). In 2022 together with Bernardo Sacconi (bass) and Piero Borri (drums) Bruno recorded the album "Brazilian guitar from Rio" where there is a tribute to the great guitarist and friend Zé Menezes released via the GBMusic Smooth Notes label. In 2023, Bruno recorded guitar and mandolin in the piece “Amore Boh!” by Drusilla Foer and Franco Godi, released on the DRU album of the same year
