Bruno Gafanhoto is one of the most prominent upcoming new drummers in the Brazilian scene. Master in Music Jazz Performance by the Jamey Aebersold Jazz Program – University of Louisville (USA), Bruno Gafanhoto has 16+ years of experience in both live and studio performances, having as main characteristic the sensibility and skill of providing balanced and musical drum parts that works towards the arrangements.
Versatile, Gafanhoto have toured to 20.000+ people from diverse audiences in Brazil, US, Latin America and Africa, working with great artists across multiple genres: in Pop and Rock, he has performed with Angra’s guitarist Marcelo Barbosa, Latin Grammy Nominee Letrux and is the drummer of Orquestra Petrobrás Sinfônica, with whom have shared the stage with some of the most popular Brazilian artists such as Latin Grammy Winners Nando Reis, AnaVitória and Vanessa da Mata, and also having the experience to perform along with a 60+ symphonic orchestra; in Jazz, performed with Grammy Nominee John La Barbera, Brandon Coleman, Miami Sax Quartet and Gene Perla; and in Funk, Bruno is the leader and composer of Funqquestra, with whom have featured legends like Carlos Malta, Nicolas Krassik, MARO and Sandra de Sá;
