Cellist Caleb Yang enjoys an extensive scope of musical styles as a soloist, recording artist, chamber, and commercial musician. Yang holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Cello Performance at UCLA and a Master of Music in Commercial Music at Belmont University. Solo performances include Bloch’s “Schelomo” for cello and orchestra under the baton of Neal Stulberg. Collaborations are central to Yang’s development as a multi-style cellist. He has performed in concert at New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall alongside Lebanese singer Abeer Nehme, Indian classical violinist Kala Ramnath, and Klezmer multi-instrumentalist Hankus Netsky for Silkroad’s Global Musician Workshop. As a commercial musician in Nashville, he has recorded and performed with artists in genres spanning from jazz, pop, CCM, and roots music. Yang has toured with country music singer Martina McBride and has appeared with artists including Emily Weisband, Josh Groban, and Us the Duo.
