A highly experienced recording artist and arranger, Max has recorded on hundreds of projects in many different musical styles and enjoys collaborating with singer/songwriters, filmmakers, jazz singers and contemporary Christian artists.
In addition to his thirty year classical career with the Houston Ballet and Houston Grand Opera, Max plays music in every context from rock and jazz to Celtic and East/West fusion. He performs with pianist/composer Dana Cunningham, the Frontier Jazz Orchestra, his Renaissance festival band Cantiga, North Indian vocalist Nanda Banerjee and hammered dulcimer national champ Joshua Messick.
He holds a Masters degree from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music.
