I have been recording for well over a decade. It all started with a Fostex multitrack tape recorder in high school, and later, a class in recording with Pro Tools at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, where I studied jazz performance for my BM. My schooling and early experiences allowed me to begin writing, producing, arranging, musical directing, and booking shows for multiple artists. Studio CTS was my home studio starting in 2004. In 2015, I found a new home as a house engineer at Sawhorse Studios, where I have been recording ever since. I have worked with Devon Allman, LionsGate, On Fillmore, Jackson Stokes, The Gorge, otherfather, Groupthink, Darin Gray, One Way Traffic, A Simple Exchange, MusicEmbryo, Yankee Racers, and more.
I have been playing music since I was a child, whether it was piano lessons, playing clarinet in middle school, or finally falling in love with guitar and electric bass at 13 years old. It didn’t take long for me to learn that I truly felt happy surrounded by other musicians, which led to me joining bands and playing gigs around the St. Louis area. I have played all over the country and even around the world. I am equally adept in the role of musical director and as sideman. You may recognize me from the stage or recordings of Mamma Mia! The Musical, The Gorge, The Steve Ewing Band, Pavlov’s Dog, Groupthink, Analiza Ching, Tess Boyer, Javier Mendoza, Willie Akins, Dave Stone, Hillary Fitz, and many more.
