Desislava Kondova is an internationally renowned violinist whose repertoire includes classical, romantic, contemporary, jazz, pop, and rock music.
After earning her degree in Italy under the guidance of Maurizio Sciarretta, assistant to Zakhar Bron, she was admitted to the prestigious Guildhall School of Music in London.
She has enriched her musical knowledge under the guidance of numerous artists including Ifrah Neeman, Zakhar Bron, Michael Frishenshlager, Frederic Pelassy, Anton Martynov, Kevork Mardirossian and Mincho Minchev etc.
She has performed as a soloist and member of ensembles in Italy, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Cyprus, and Montenegro.
After being the first violin in international orchestras such as the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra and the New Symphony Orchestra, she effortlessly transitioned to collaborating with various pop and rock groups, recording multiple albums, winning numerous awards, and receiving prestigious scholarships.
She has been collaborating with renowned artists such as Janey Clewer and Bruce Gaitsch for some time, and together they have created entire albums as co-authors of the music and with her magical touch on the violin. Clewer has worked with Ray Charles, Elton John, Cher, Michael Bolton, and Lara Fabian, involving Desislava in many of her endeavors.
Desislava recorded and writes numerous soundtracks for Italian and Bulgarian films and for the theater of prose.
She also continues to work productively with Marc Jordan, a singer and writer of some of Rod Stewart, Cher, Chicago, and Diana Ross's biggest hits.
Her collaboration with Ken Hensley, the late singer and founder of Uriah Heep, has unfortunately come to an end.
In the Chicago's latest album, released worldwide in 2022, Desislava's standout piece is "For the Love," where the group gave her free reign for her compositional "violin solo".
On the heels of this performance, many critics have named her one of Europe's best violinists.
Despite this extraordinary background, Desislava enjoys taking long breaks for reflection and expanding her exploration of musical interests and acquiring more professional and life experience.
She has emphasized in numerous television interviews how important it is not only to work with excellent musicians but also to establish a deep inner connection with people.
