Having been influenced by a musical family, I began singing at age five. I started teaching myself bass at age fourteen when I was inspired by Various artists in Rock, Prog Rock, Blues, R&B, and Funk and Fusion music. I studied Music theory with Schuyler Collins from the Berkley School of Music, and Voice with Master Vocal technician Nikki Cukor in New York.
For several years I played bass and was lead vocalist for several top drawing bands on the east coast club circuit. I then decided to move on to Los Angeles, to further pursue my music career. I was one of the TOP TEN BASSISTS picked by BILLY SHEEHAN for the MUSICIAN'S INSTITUTE Scholarship Contest. I then attended the well-known school, not only graduating at the top of the class with the VOCATIONAL HONORS AWARD, but also receiving the HUMAN RELATIONS AWARD at M.I. in 1995. This led me to assistant teaching and private instruction at Musician's Institute. Reputation and experience led me to audition and play with DWEEZIL ZAPPA, VONDA SHEPARD from TV's "Allie McBeal" and MEGADETH'S, CHRIS POLAND, with whom I recorded the instrumental Rock/Funk/Jazz/Fusion record called, "CHASING THE SUN". (Available @ WWW.GROOVEYARDRECORDS.COM and CHRISPOLAND.COM). Having caught the attention of label exec FRED BROWN at WARNER BROTHERS I was referred to work with other artists such as STAN WHITTAKER, (former guitarist/vocalist for Peter Gabriel and Happy The Man) which led to form the awesome Power Rock/Pop trio SPIRIT NOISE. Since I was Bassist & Lead Singer with Rock Legend Guitarist RONNIE MONTROSE, worked WARNER BROS recording artist, TRACY DAWN, alternative L.A. rock band, PUSH (PUSHTHEBAND.COM), and co-produced and arranged & played bass on the album "BURNIN" for ELIZABETH WILLS with producer CHRIS VANTASSEL.
I recorded and co-produced an EP with the band WORLDS APART with producer BARRY FAZMAN of TV’s “FAME” series, recorded the album "CONFESSIONS" with the band JADED featuring Tina Yothers of TV’s “Family Ties”, and recorded the album "GOOD VIBRATIONS" with L.A.'s Rock/Reggae/Rap/Pop Band SHAKA BUKU (ShakaBuku.com). I also Co-wrote & Recorded songs with Singer/Songwriter JAMIE GREEN for her new album "TRUCE" by (named by L.A. Music Awards as Best Unsigned Artist).
I worked with Producer DAVE FORTMAN & recorded Bass for the album "FALLEN" by EVANESCENCE, of which the single "BRING ME TO LIFE" was #1 on BILLBOARD's MODERN ROCK Chart. I received two Grammy Certifications for ”FALLEN" which was Nominated f
