Tim Gelo is in demand as a classical and contemporary performer on trumpet, as well as arranger and composer.
After studying at the "Jerusalem Rubin Academy", the "Hanns Eisler College of Music" in Berlin, as well as a concert exam at the "University of Music and Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig, Tim Gelo gets an engagement at the Staatsoper Berlin. There he collaborates with the great conductors of our time: Daniel Barenboim, Kent Nagano, Zubin Mehta, Claudio Abbado.
He receives awards at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and at the Yamaha Trumpet Contest for his interpretation of contemporary music.
In 2004, his song "Alles was Brauchst" was sung by Kader Loth on the German Top 100.
With the band project "Jazzà-Vu" he performed at Festivals worldwide in the 2000s.
In 2013 Tim Gelo works on the Studio project "Velvet Dreamer "(Chill Out / Lounge) and releases the first album "Last Kiss of Summer" at Label Lemongrassmusic.
Tim has attracted attention around the world with seven "Velvet Dreamer" albums.
In 2017, Tim Gelo founds the live band "EVENT LOUNGERS".
World famous hits are presented in self-made lounge arrangements.
Tim Gelo also produces pop songs and collaborates with artists from Moscow to New York.
He is also a teacher and lecturer in various international masterclasses. He teaches beginners as well as professional trumpeters of various symphony orchestras and jazz trumpeters.
