My name is Dustin Treinen, I'm a bass player living in Los Angeles, CA that is proudly endorsed by Ernie Ball. At the time of this writing, I've been playing bass for 25 years in bands in just about every sub-genre of rock, metal, and pop. With such a versatile background, I am confident that I am capable of tastefully incorporating a variety of influences into anything I write and quickly adapt to almost any style.
I have played a fundamental role in the writing process in most of the projects I've been a part of. Playing in my progressive metal band for 20 years has given me very strong technical skills.
My eclectic style has been further pushed by my involvement in several other bands in which I have been the primary songwriter, while at other times following the lead of another songwriter. These experiences have provided me with the skill-set to write original music and work cooperatively with other musicians.
While I am technically proficient in bass I also have some formal training in piano and classical guitar. Beyond purely technical skills I have a good ear, precise scale work, and familiarity with music theory.
I'm proud to say that I have played on stage or in the recording studio with members of Oasis, Prince, Beyonce, Stevie Wonder, Beck, Weezer, Goldfinger, The Happy Mondays, Palaye Royal, Scott Weiland's solo band, David Lee Roth's solo band, Chevelle, and All American Rejects.
