Hi there! My name is Ethan Richey, and I was born and raised in the Greater Los Angeles area. At the age of 5, I developed a love for the skillful jazz guitar playing of legends, Barney Kessel and George Benson. In the following years, I dug further into jazz albums, while also developing an interest in heavy metal, alternative rock, and blues. My interest in guitar was ignited, and at the age of 16, I decided that I wanted to learn the guitar. From that point on, I spent every waking hour practicing scales and chord shapes, until I was well versed, and fluent around the guitar neck.
Since then, I have played on various professional albums in a multitude of genres. Playing guitar is my passion, and I love using what I've learned in my studies of jazz theory and overall music theory, as a tool to aid in my session work and compositions.
