Fabiana Mendes is a Carioca brazilian songwriter and singer of Jazz and Bossa Nova, who started taking guitar lessons when she was a teenager. In her show "Jazz Standards and Jobim´s Songs ", she sings Tom Jobim, interpreting his main songs in Portuguese and English and intercalating them with Jazz Standards.
As a result of this musical project, she recently recorded two video clips accompanied by a team of great brazillian musicians.
One of the songs chosen was "Tristeza de Nós Dois" (Mauricio Einhorn, Durval Ferreira and Bebeto), with musical direction and acoustic bass from Alex Rocha, arrangement and piano by Kiko Continentino and the special participation of the composer and genius of the harmonica, Mauricio Einhorn. Tom Jobim recorded this song on the album of 1962 "Caymmi visits Tom and takes his sons Nana, Dori & Danilo " with the vocals of Nana Caymmi, guitar by Dori Caymmi.
The other song was "Forever Green " (Tom Jobim and Paulo Jobim), originally recorded in the album "Antônio Brasileiro ", released in 1994, three days after his death. In the video clip, the song under musical direction, arrangement and acoustic bass of Alex Rocha, won an even more jazzistic sound. This song is part of " Brazilian Blend" program at ORTS Radio in Neetherlands.
Those videoclips audios are released as a Single of two tracks (Forever Green and Tristeza de Nós Dois), named “Forever Green” in all digital platforms such as Deezer, Spotify, ITunes, beyond anothers.
