The graduate of the Rostov State Rachmaninoff Conservatory and the Michigan State University College of Music in United States, Dr. Bezuglov represents both cultural traditions. During his studies, he collaborated with the pianist Natalia Bezuglova to form the ensemble Class&Jazz Duo, which had become known for their interpretations of classical and jazz music. The ensemble produced two well-received CDs with violin and piano miniature pieces, as well as recorded Shostakovich and Beethoven’s sonatas. Class&Jazz group garnered the First Prize of the Shostakovich International Competition in Moscow and the Bronze Medal of the Seventh International Chamber Music Ensemble Competition in Boston, MA. In addition to Class&Jazz Dr. Bezuglov has been a founding member of the ION Piano Trio with Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra principal cellist Igor Cetkovic, Michigan State String Quartet, OctOpus+ String Nonet, and AnarchY String Quartet.
In the recent years Dr. Bezuglov has been serving as an Associate Concertmaster of the Battle Creek Symphony, Assistant Concertmaster of the Kalamazoo Symphony, Principal Second with the Southwest Michigan Symphony and Assistant Principal Second of the Midland Symphony Orchestras. He is also a tenured member of the Traverse Symphony Orchestra.
With his various solo and chamber music projects Oleg Bezuglov was featured at such prestigious musical festival as the Festivalensemble Stuttgart, Salzburg Festival, Lucerne Festival, Festival of Ensemble Duos “Odessa Dialogues”, Festivals of Contemporary Music “Rostov Premieres”, and the Cello Plus Annual Festival. He performed in famous concert halls throughout Asia, Europe, and America, including KKL Lucern in Switzerland, Beethovensaal in Germany, Großes Fesfspielhaus in Austria, Gyeonggi-do in South Korea, Merkin Hall and Jordan Hall in United States, Rachmaninoff Concert Hall in Russia, and Stolyarsky’s School Hall in Ukraine.
In his concert appearances Oleg Bezuglov has shared a stage with such renowned artists as Lang Lang, Bobby McFerrin, Jackie Evancho, Sarah Chang, Ilya Kaler, Michel Legrand, Ruggero Allifranchini, Suren Bagratuni, Chad Hoopes, Leon Fleisher, Conrad Tao, Richard Sherman, Amy Porter, Cameron Carpenter, Edisher Savitski, and Al Jarreau.
