Hi folks, I am a professional bassist from Glasgow, Scotland with over 15 years of experience as a live and recording bassist, as well as an educator (private lessons/further education).

My work as a performer, writer and arranger has spanned many genres, from traditional Celtic fusion (Skerryvore, Sharon Shannon, We Banjo 3, Modhan), hip hop (Kobi Onyame), soul (Unoma Okudo, Sharlene Monique of Kingdom Choir), Bluegrass/Americana (Jill Jackson), pop/songwriter (Mark Angels, Terence James of The Voice 9, Neil Primrose of Travis), and progressive metal (The Massacre Cave). This has seen me play to capacity festival crowds on main stages such as Belladrum, Tønder, Milwaukee Irish Fest and Mostly Jazz Funk and Soul, as well as receiving national and international media coverage (BBC Alba, Radio 1 Extra, Fox 10 Phoenix, Arizona and more). My most recent achievements include ranking no. 11 in the iTune Album Charts with Skerryvore’s “Live Across Scotland”, along with a Scottish singles chart no.1 with NHS/key worker charity single “Everyday Heroes”.

I am a busy educator and, aside from my private bass lessons, I head the bass department at The Academy of Music & Sound in Glasgow, Scotland. I tutor bass players of all levels (beginner, through to college and professionals), covering everything from stylistic development, theory and harmony, playing techniques and performance skills.

I am a proud endorsee of Aguilar Amplification of NYC and DR Handmade Strings, New Jersey.
