Biography
John Kaminski is a professional Guitarist,Composer, and Vocalist with over 25 years of experience as both a performer and instructor in the field of music. He has a broad and diverse resume which accentuates his love for the art. His personal accomplishments range from being lead guitarist in musical groups and variety bands to duo and acoustic solo performances. This gained him the experience of working various venues such as hotels, festivals,
restaurants, and resorts for weddings and corporate functions as well as more intimate settings.
John recognized his passion for music at a very early age and spent most of his free time practicing and experimenting on the guitar before pursuing professional lessons. His appetite to learn led him to take both guitar and piano instruction. A native of northeast
Ohio, he participated in high school stage band as well as working the night club circuit with local groups. After graduating from high school he pursued his career in music.
John plays a variety of music including contemporary pop, rock, jazz, and blues to name
a few. From 1984-1996 he performed with groups all over the Cleveland area including some Lake Erie resorts. During that time, John participated in several released recordings that were given national airplay. Shows on and off the road brought him to work the same stage with the musical group Orleans and even comedians such as Gilbert Gottfried . From 1994-1996 his work with a major band through the Florida Keys brought endorsements from large companies, and airplay via radio and television (N.B.C., B.B.C.,
and local).
John’s career however, has not been limited to stage performances. He has over 25 years successful experience as a guitar teacher both at arts schools and at his home studio. He also uses his talents by tuning pianos for hotels, churches, and private clients.
John is just as dynamic playing an instrumental jazz standard as he is singing a pop song. In 1996, John relocated to Florida and resides in the Jacksonville area. He currently performs solo, and with duos or small groups. Also, writing and recording music is always an important
part of his work and artistic passion.
