I’m an award-winning composer/songwriter from London. I create original musicals, write soundtracks for theatre, film, TV and make albums. I am signed to Warner Music and have collaborated on projects for Sony, the National Theatre, Disney, the Young Vic, ATG, PlayStation, the Royal Opera House, EMI, The Almeida theatre, Studio AKA and many others. I speak seven languages.
My latest musical, ‘The Magician’s Elephant’, premiered at the Royal Shakespeare Company in October 2021 and plans are under way for a commercial transfer to the US. Previously, my musical ‘The Grinning Man’ opened at the Bristol Old Vic in 2017 and transferred to the West End in 2018. Andy Serkis, at The Imaginarium Studios, created a 3d motion capture film of the show and the cast recording reached the top ten in the classical charts as well being nominated at the 2018 Whatsonstage Awards.
I am currently developing an original feature film musical with director Marina Waltz and producer Keith Potter. I am also writing a sci-fi musical for the Soho Theatre. Other musicals include ‘The Ghost Map’ at the National Theatre and ‘Twitterdammerung’ for the Royal Opera House for which I was awarded the 2010 Guardian Innovation Award. My scores for plays include the soundtrack to the UK premiere of Claire Barron’s Pulitzer nominated play ‘Dance Nation’, ‘Blood & Gifts’ at the National Theatre and ‘Secret Agent’ at the Young Vic.
My work for TV and film includes music for American Horror Story, Portlandia, Bones, Loud House, the 7th Dimension and Stuck On a Sunday. I wrote the title music for the New York Times podcast ‘Modern Love’.
Clients for commercials include PlayStation 3, Johnnie Walker and Coca-Cola.
