Farao Mattia was born on July 14, 1999.
He approaches music from the early years of his life, starting to play the drums at the age of four, an instrument played by his father. He continues to devote himself to music in the following years as an autodidact, participating in various regional talent shows, until at the age of eight/nine he begins his concert career as a percussionist in a musical orchestra composed of wind instruments, also taking the Sanremo stage at the GEF Festival, reaching second place internationally.
At the age of fifteen, however, he approaches a different instrument, the piano, to which Mattia, noting his great passion for the instrument, decides to devote himself totally.
At the age of sixteen he began attending the “Stanislao Giacomantonio” conservatory in Cosenza, where he is currently studying.
In May 2018 he took part in the XXI International Competition “Vincenzo Scaramuzza” obtaining the third prize with a vote of 85/100.
In 2019, after numerous attempts to register on the piano, he decided to attend a “studio / live sound technician” course led by Andrea Mei and Paolo Ojetti. This course opens up the world of mixing/mastering to him, so much so that he dedicates himself to it day and night.
At the end of 2021, almost fortunately, he was hired by the producer Leonardo Caligiuri to record and mix the single “Day Hospital Hotel” by Cataldo Perri which has a huge response nationwide, also ending up on Repubblica.it.
