Pietro Paolo Dinapoli obtained his conservatory diploma with top marks and honour under maestro Marco Salcito. He attended master course specialized in Chamber music at the conservatory of Milan, under maestros Marco Pace and Mauro Bonifacio, where he obteined diploma with top marks and full honour.

His artistic career focuses on the music of the 20 th century and, above all, on contemporary music. Many composers have written for him, such as: Marco Momi, Zeno Baldi, Maurizio Azzan, Daniela Fantechi, Lula Romero, Giovanni Bertelli, Roberto Vetrano, Alberto Carretero, Matteo Tundo, Simone Cardini, Stefano Alessandretti.
And he have actively collaborated with various composers, such as Azio Corghi, José Manuel Lopez Lopez, Fabien Levy, Alessandro Solbiati, Javier Torres Maldonado, Stefano Taglietti, Giorgio Colombo Taccani, Carla Rebora, often performing world premieres. Also, numerous pieces have been dedicated to him and he edited them for Suvini Zerboni, Rai Trade and Sconfinarte.
Very active in the field of chamber music, he boasts several collaborations with various ensembles. In particoular, he has a duo with flautist Carlotta Raponi and he is one of the founders of Azione_Improvvisa ensemble, with whom he was supported by the E. von Siemens Stiftung and released the CD “First Glimpse” and "Seeds".
Interested in exploring different forms of artistic performance, he has often collaborated with actors and visual artists. He also collaborates with guitar magazines “Il Fronimo” and “Guitart”.
He held a workshop and a conference focused on new techniques of execution and the repertoire of contemporary music for guitar at the Conservatory of Milan, Piacenza and Pescara.

He performed in Italy and abroad for various musical associations such as Villa Medici (Rome), Fondazione Haydn (Bolzano), Goethe Universitat in Frankfurt am Main (DE), Swiss Oper studio (Bern), Conservatoire populaire de musique (Geneve), Mi.To and NoMus in Milan, Setticlavium in Vasto, Syntonia in Roma.
He collaborates as guitar expert in the Conservatory in Milan and the Music academy in Tallinn.
He was invited to perform as soloist and chamber at Commute Festival (Tallinn), Transart Festival (Bolzano), Sound of Wander (Milano), Arsenale Nuove Musiche (Treviso), IGNM Bern (CH), “Musica insieme” in Panicale, “Contrasti” in Trento and at the Tage fuer neue Musik in Darmstadt.
He performed in prestigious concert halls, such as Sala Verdi (Milan), Teatro Rossetti (Vasto), Teatro Stabile (Potenza), Museo Pietro Canonica (Rome), on the occasion of the European Music Day 2012.
He is the artistic director and chamber music teacher of the summer course “City of Venosa, in the footsteps of Gesualdo”.
He teached guitar for pre-academic and non-academic courses at the Conservatory “Franco Vittadini” in Pavia and in various schools of Milan.
