Guy Pek is a drummer, composer and mixing engineer from The Netherlands. He discovered the drumkit before he could walk, as he grew up in a musical family. He developed himself as a versatile player, touring Europe with American group Orkesta Mendoza, led by Calexico’s keys player Sergio Mendoza. After that he toured the Netherlands extensively with old school rock outfit Nachtschade. On the side, he runs his own rockband: Grenadeers. For this band he wrote and produced three studio albums and a live album, did collaborations with Alain Johannes (former Queens of the Stone Age) and the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw and did support shows for bands like Smashing Pumpkins and Karma To Burn. Recently Guy has played on the new record by Canadian’s national rockstar Kim Mitchell, of which the new single ‘Wishes’ breaks records in Canada. During his short residence in Toronto, Guy worked as a studio drummer, with producers Russ Mackay (Rush, Alanis Morissette), Roy Hamilton III (Michael Jackson, Britney Spears) and Greg Wells (Katy Perry, Dua Lipa). Guy also toures the world with dutch theatre group Close Act, playing big outdoor shows in China, Russia and the whole of Europe. He is also a frequently asked last minute sub drummer.
