Reginald Payne was born in Washington, D.C. on
September 9, 1989. He began playing drums at the age of 4, which started his love for music. By age 13 he had learned to play 6 instruments including piano, saxophone, tuba, trombone, bass, and by the time he graduated high school he had learned 5 additional instruments, which he continued to play in various school and church ensembles until he graduated high school. He was also the music director, arranger, composer, or conductor for many of those
ensembles. Reginald has been fortunate enough to have
played at several prominent venues in the Maryland-D.C. and Boston areas including the Strathmore, Blues Alley, Kennedy Center, House of Blues, Staple Center and many
others.
