Award-winning producer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and arranger, Richard Emery, has had a lifetime of experience at such a young age. By the time he was 22, Emery has toured internationally and has worked with world-renowned artists such as Grammy Award Winner Arturo O’Farrill, Terakaft, Brielle Von Hugel (American Idol, Postmodern Jukebox), Justin Adams (Robert Plant), Marcus Roberts, Herlin Riley (Wynton Marsalis), the Columbus Jazz Orchestra, and the list continues to grow. He has also recorded in world-famous recording studios such as Peter Gabriel’s Studio in Bath, England and the Bunker in Brooklyn, New York.

Born in Toronto and raised in the Midwest, Emery has been playing both bass and guitar professionally since the age of 16. Emery would go to school during the day and then head downtown to play with a 20-piece big band that he wrote compositions for and head to class the next morning. From the Midwest, Emery went to New York City to continue to study with greats such as John Patitucci, Paul Bollenback, and many more. Emery is now based in Los Angeles, California.
