Shai Portugaly is a Vocalist, Piano/Keyboard player, Percussionist and Songwriter from Israel based in New York. She has toured around the world, performing in India, Argentina, throughout the USA, Canada and Israel, playing her original music as well as collaborating with well known artists from different parts of the globe.

Among the various projects she has been involved with, Shai toured with the Indian composer, Grammy-Award winner A. R. Rahman on his 2018 USA tour, performing in 10 different states, for audiences of 8k-15k people.

Shai graduated Berklee College of Music in Boston in 2017. For the past 3 years has been playing a leading role in the professional touring division of Berklee Indian Ensemble (Berklee Indian Touring Ensemble), as a keyboardist, vocalist and occasionally percussionist and musical director. Shai has performed with BIE in Bengaluru Ganesh Utsav festival in India, in the Mosaic festival in Ontario, Canada, and toured around the USA. Among many videos in which she participated as a keyboardist, Shai is featured as the lead vocalist in one of the most watched videos of the ensemble on Youtube with 52K views (a medley of Israeli and south-Indian lullabies). Through the BIE network, Shai has collaborated with some of the top Indian artists, such as Shankar Mahadevan, Vijay Prakash, Raghu Dixit, Shreya Ghoshal and Shadow & Light.

Shai is currently working on two original solo projects which will be released later on this year, including music she has written in Hebrew, English and Spanish and featuring some of her favorite musicians in the entire world. Her music, just like her personality, is very diverse and brings a message of authenticity, courage and oneness.
