Sofia Dragt is a singer, composer, pianist and producer from the Netherlands, who’s pure songs, fortified with subtle classical undertones, capture your imagination. In 2013 she won the national award called ‘De Grote Prijs van Nederland’, which is a prestigious prize for singer & songwriters in the Netherlands. After that Sofia was able to play a lot of shows and festivals in the Netherlands but also in Belgium, Norway, Morocco and also Germany. In 2017 her latest album ‘Still Here’ was released.
For this album she worked with filmmaker Jonathan J. Smit who made a short music film called 'Andras' for four of her songs. This short film won the award for 'Music: Best Pop' at the Berlin Motion Picture Festival.
Though she comes from the pop music scene, she started to work as a filmcomposer for different short films and documentaries. One of the first she worked on aired on national tv (NL) in 2016, called ‘De Schatkamer van de Veluwe’ by Ruben Smit.
And now working on a nature documentary called 'WAD' which will be aired on Dutch national television May 2020.
