Marquis Bean was born in Long Island New York 1985. He is a natural poet and only began interest in creating music at the age of 16 with a group of friends in Bloomington, Illinois. Hence is first alias "Perfexion" was born. It signifies what he strives for but the letter "X" signifies the inability to attain it.

Growing up in less than favorable conditions he was able to beat the odds. His first step in changing his future was when he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 2003. He completed two combat tours in Iraq and the Philippines. He was discharged honorably after 12 years of service and resides in Hawaii. Living on the Island for over 10 years has changed his perspective.

Today Marquis, now F.L.U. (Facts. Life. Understanding) will break into the music industry. Unsigned, and not afraid to face this battle alone, he moves forward attempting to open closed minds, and break the norms of society. The goal is the same, to be true to himself and everyone he encounters through music.
