You can't quite put your finger on the unique vocal stylings of TJ Carter.

"TJ's vocals make an instant connection with listeners."

She graduated with a Music Business degree and a Saxophone Performance degree from Azusa Pacific University in California. She started singing professionally shortly after and began session work, teaming up with aspiring "hit makers" and independent songwriters from LA to NY.

TJ moved to Nashville Tennessee in 2011 where she individually penned the 10 songs she recorded for her first musical release, her album Bold and Beautiful.
As technology capabilities began to rise, TJ found herself helping complete song projects on a world-wide scale from Canada to South America to Denmark etc.
A few minor independent projects gave rise to her vocals, like her karaoke demo's in the style of Kelly Clarkson, Christina Perri and Colbie Caillat that were picked up by NBC's The Voice official karaoke app and the theme song Body Pop for the release of Blogilates clothing line, an international youtube channel with over four million subscribers.

Canadian artist Jason Kirkness also cut one of her songs (A Man Like Me), so TJ knows first hand what it like to be on the other side of the coin in the studio, as a songwriter. She confidently uses this knowledge and experience to approach projects from this perspective as she knows how important it is for a session singer to connect to the emotion of a melody and lyrics as the songwriter intends.

Above all though, TJ loves to sing from her heart with passion as there are no words that can describe how someone can connect and be touched by song. She loves that she can wake up in the morning and go into the studio with her coffee, in her PJ's, and lay down a vocal for someone across the world.
